Before moving into digital design, I spent 10+ years working in architecture. In that role, I honed many of the skills I bring to product design today: deep empathy for users, a systems-level view of complex problems, and a strong eye for clarity, structure, and aesthetics.
Architecture taught me how to balance form with function, how to design for real people in real contexts, and, above all, how to solve problems with intention.
While I loved shaping physical environments, I was increasingly drawn to the immediacy and adaptability of digital products, especially their potential to make everyday experiences simpler and more inclusive. I began exploring web and graphic design, eventually taking on freelance projects that ranged from branding to building websites. UX/UI felt like a natural evolution; still human-centred, still creative, but with faster feedback loops and greater potential for impact.
